In the late 1980s, Ed Ellis piloted paddle-wheel boats around a lagoon in Cedar Point, giving a running commentary to passengers on one of the park's most gentle rides. He has since restored one of the old cruisers and is bringing it back to the amusement park's doorstep. Starting last Saturday, Ellis is offering thrice-daily excursions on the Ogontz along Pipe Creek and Sandusky Bay next to Cedar Point.
