Wouldn't this be cool - Mr. Freeze
Wouldn't it be awesome if SFSTL and SFOT changed the restraints on Mr. Freeze, like the Flight of Fear rides did? That would be so cool!! Mr. Freeze isn't too painful, though. But there are a few spots where you can hit your head against the restraints pretty hard! I think the "top hat" is ok, as is the "spike", but that wraparound turn can be kinda painful. Anyways, post your thoughts! Thanks!

That would be awesome. I'm already a big fan of Mr. Freeze, but lap bars instead of OTSR's would make me an even bigger fan. It would eliminate the head banging that I have never expirienced, butpeople always talk about it.
I think that the return thru the tophat in reverse is the best part of the ride personally. It feels like you are getting the life sucked right out of you. Has to be the most unique thing I experienced on my coaster trips in 2000.

The one at sfot has no head banging Mr. Freeze is a mY FAVORITE LAUNCH COASTER I dont know about the the lap bar because of that top hat going foward because the coaster loses a lot of speed during that and you can feel yourself only being hdeld i by those otsr hanging from the top hat the one at sfot is the best
If all the Premier LIM coasters got this new type of restraints, I'm sure they would become a lot more popular amongst enthusiasts, and the general public. I can't say how many times I've heard that those coasters would be fantastic if it weren't for the headbanging.

I always dreamed about a rollercoaster like mr. freeze, but after the motors pull you up the spike it could flip into a giant loop.

I'll also agree that it would be cool to go backwards so that you could go up the spike facing down. The loading station has two trains that shuttle back and forth. Make one side forwards, one side backwards.
Now what I really want is an S:TE that adds a 400 foot back spike, which holds you up there facing down. Same thing as an S:UE, but with 400 foot spikes, and you're in a car instead of the train. Plus they would need the magnet brakes at the top of the back spike.
