VF possible end of excalibur

I went to VF Yesterday and heard talk that excalibur might get replaced with an expansion of soak city and a parking lot or just a parking lot

When i went on thunder canyon I ended up talking to the ride operator he thought that they were replacing excalibur with just a parking lot. After that I went on excalibur ther was no line. While I was sitting there waiting for the ride to start I talked to the ride operator he thought that they were going to replace excalibur with an expansion of soak city and a parking lot i'm fine with an expansion of soak city as long as it isn't more body slides, some tube slides would be a great addition.

I didn't realize that the Lemon Chill guy was running coasters now.

What

Lemon Chill or Dippin' Dots....I'm not sure which one VF has. ;)

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.

Dippin-dots and is lemon chill guy one who blabs alot about the plans

It was two different people i talked to

"The lemon chill guy" is a term used for someone who starts wild rumors about what the future plans are at an amusement park. I think it usually refers to Cedar Point, but it could refer to other parks.

e.g. The Lemon Chill guy told me that in 2019, Cedar Point is adding a 500 foot tall coaster, with 20 loops that goes under Lake Erie!

In short, front line, minimum wage workers such as ride ops, concessions workers, and in particular, the guy who sells Lemon Chills, do not get any information about the future plans of the park.

In general that's true, although when the park has to file its plans with the Army Corps of Engineers, the minimum wage staff might hear about it.

ILoveAirtime is hearing the rumblings correctly, though. Us mere park fans don't know the true timeframe of when it will happen, but Excalibur is in the way of a new development that will swap some wetland and create a new parking lot and expand the waterpark..

This plan was approved on May 2nd:

If The Lemon Chill Guy said it, it must be true. ;)

Overheard discussion about Excalibur's possible demise at HWN event....not surprising, but still somewhat disappointing, since I'm a big fan of rides that defy classification....

Plus, I mean, King Arthur....c'mon....

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

So would they scrap it or move it to another park? 2 parks comes to mind for relocation, MiA and WoF. Both places could use a nice family coaster like that. I don't know if WoF has a flat area big enough for it but MiA may have it. TimberRider would not be liking news of a relocation of another coaster to MiA he only wants new and big.

Looks like Michigan's Adventure is getting that new hyper coaster after all...

Surely Cedar Fair wouldn't relocate such an old ride?

Ah yeah. Demon Drop...

Nothing to see here. Move along.
