Type Of VideoCard...

Since I found out I cannot get updates for my STB Velocity 128 video card, I was wondering what video card should I get?

I don't want to go out buy an exspensive one, and then find out it won't work either.

Anybody know anyway I could update my card, even though they went out of business, or sold out, whatever they did.

Thanks for you're help.

This is the one I have been looking at...

Vision Tek GeForce2 MX 64 AGP

It's not really exspensive, but it seems to be a pretty good card. Anyone that can help me and knows what they're talking about?!

Also, could I install this card myself, or would I have to have someone do it? Like is there directions or would you have to know a little bit about doing that sort of stuff? Thanks once again.

Installing a new card is really easy to do.  All you need is a screwdriver.  Have a friend help you if you're unsure about what to do.

That card will do fine for NoLimits.  If you can get a GeForce2 GTS, Pro, or Ultra you'll be in even better shape (though they do cost more).

Yes, you can get a GeForce2 MX for under a hundred bucks and it'll do fine. Just know ahead of time if your existing video card is sitting in an AGP or PCI slot inside the computer. The AGP slot looks unique at one end of the row of slots. The video card is the one that has the connector for your monitor.

I ordered that one, I also have no clue how I am going to install this, but a friend might talk to me through it. Thanks for you're help.

I can't run the game, when I open it I get that  “A required . DLL file, MSVCP60.DLL, was not found”.  error or something.  I'm not sure what type of video card I have either.  How do I find out?

The DLL you're missing is the C++ runtime. Not knowing anything about that environment (I'm a .NET guy), I don't know if that should be included in the distribution, but I have a hard time believing it's not there already.

Do a search for the file, and when you find it, copy it into your c:/windows/system32 file just craps and giggles. See if that does it.

You can download the .DLL file here...

I had the same problem, I just don't know how to install it. Look for the name of the file there.:)

I have a Rage Pro Turbo AGP 2x, anyone know if this would be decent for the game?
Uh oh...you've got an ATI card.  Good luck!  Ole is working to see if he can get ATI cards to work with the game more, but GeForce cards are really the way to go.

I just downloaded the file.Let's hope it works.
where and how do you install the MSVCP60.DLL.file?
B&M TYCOON and Jeff, I download the msvcp60.dll file.  Now what do I do, I tried opening NoLimits again, but I still got the same message?

Try dropping it in c:\windows\system32. No guarantees, but it should already be in your system or installed with the program.

That's somewhat the same thing I did.I just put it in the same folder as the demo.I can't open Nolimits from the programs menu though. In order to open NoLimits I have to go directly into the system files menu and select NoLimits Demo MSVCP.DLL and then it opens up.The game works fine for me.

I've got an ATI Radeon 32MB DDR and it works perfectly.  I would imagine some of the older ATI cards would have problems though, they've always given me fits.

Sorry coasterider548 but I can't help you in that department.I haven't a clue as to why you would get an illegal operation error message like that. That usually happens to me when I try to use certain features of my trainer for RCT but my copy of no limits loads just fine.
