It's not really a popularity contest, it's more for fun. I think it will, over time, show some degree of tenure. The actual awards even more so (once I eliminate the dupes). I mean, you already have two awards!

I feel like a real doofus even saying this, but I've hesitated contributing news before because I'm not sure I'm doing it correctly. The headline and summary are obvious, but for the "main text," do you want an entire copy and paste of the article, or just a link to it?

I have always just put the article link for the main text.

Yeah, a link is fine.

I still haven't got to news yet today. Busy working up an "exclusive" interview. :)

Edit: I'd add a winky face to this, but it doesn't work.

The graphic emoticons... yeah. Here's the thing... after 12+ years and about five variations on how they were created and stored, I scrubbed them out of all the hundreds of thousands of posts. I have a work item on my backlog to reinstitute them, client side, eventually. It's not a high priority.

The first time that I visited the new site, I took a few seconds to look at the picture. Then everything moved up and I went to interact with the rest of the page. After visiting the site several times, I may look at the "forum topics" box first. Right as I get ready to click on a topic, it starts moving. But, as I said, its not a big deal.

I like it... If it counts for anything, I have not posted in a very long time and CB has once again crossed my radar and I am back, for the time being at least.

Like the 500 and 1000 post awards, but waiting for the 5000 and 10,000 post awards to show up. Also waiting for the 1 year, 5 year and 10 year member awards.

And I expect the Lord Gonchar Is Great points to regenerate automatically on a weekly basis.

Other than that, everything seems fine.

Not saying I would... just want to know what's in it for me.

I hope I can explain this with rambling on too long.

If I click News, an article, then the park name under Related Park, the park page appears fine.

But if I click Forums, News Discussion, the same article as before, then the park name under Related Park, I get a 404 error.

Is it just me?
