SFGam Opening Day (With exit pass, hehe)

Associated parks:
None

Well I got there a little after the park opened. We took a ride on the Raging Bull. Then my friend went to get his exit pass (That's right, that thing that gets you in front of all the lines). See, with the exit pass, you can ride each coaster once every hour. You can ride each coaster 3 times the whole day.
If you saw 4 people with no crutches or a wheelchair walking up the exit ramp, then that was probably me and my friends. I felt a little guilty, but oh well. We got at least 2 rides on every coaster. And this is really cool. We got to pick which row we wanted to sit in. Front, back, middle, we could choose. They were being so nice to us.
Of course, there was a lot of negative attention towards us too. People were complaining and were asking us why we were going up the exit ramp. We just ignored them, or at least we tried to. ;)
The lines were really long, but we didn't have to wait in them. All the rides were running great, and I couldn't of asked for more.
I will have pics up on my site tomorrow. Be sure to check them out!

How did you get an exit pass?

My friend has ADD. I was not expecting him to get a pass for that, but he did!

Well, I'm glad I wasn't there because I surely would have been one of those providing the "negative attention"! Nothing against you, I just hate all versions of that fast pass thing. There's threads covering it already though so I'll leave it at that.

My friend has ADD and we went to Dorney on 5/5 and 5/6! That's so funny that you can get an exit pass for ADD! How did you do it! We waited like everyone else ( but there were short lines). You can see mt trip report for how it went.

Whaaa? The exit admission pass has *nothing* in common with the FastPass type programs. One is for people with disabilities while the other is for everyone. They're not the same thing by any means.

I agree with StandUpFan, ADD is not a disability as far as being able to wait in queue lines...I am suprised that they gave an exit pass for that.

Legendary, when perfectly healthy people and people with disabilities that should in no way qualify them to get an exit pass slip on in front of folks who wait in line that's a fast pass IMO. The pass may be intended for something else but it has the same irritating effect as a fast pass. Say what you like, that's just how I see it. Hence the fast pass comment.

Blink, no offense but you shouldn't be seeing support for cheap crap like that.

The reason I responded was because when you said FastPass, to the untrained reader, it sounds as though SFGAm has a variation of FastPass. It does not, therefore, the term FastPass doesn't need to be used. Maybe abusing the ride accessability would have worked, but I still stand by my comment that there is no such thing as a FastPass program at the park.

I understand that; I'm sure a lot of people would have gotten that impression. I didn't write that very well so I'm glad you replied. I'm just saying that in my mind if the program has the same effect as a fast pass then it might as well be a fast pass, even if only for that one time. But I agree, the exit pass is completely different than the fast pass and it is a good idea. It's just that sometimes people take advantages of such things that weren't meant for them.

BTW, I didn't know but I had assumed SFGAm did have a fast pass system; it seems like a lot of SF parks are sinking to that level. But I'm glad SFGAm isn't one of them (yet).
If somebody has add so bad that they cant wait in a line then they shouldnt be at the park anyway. What happens if all the bathrooms stalls are occupied, are they going to freak because they have no direct entry to a toilet?
Oh geez people. Give it a rest. While I dont totally agree with it, maybe the park feels obligated to offer the pass to people with this condition. Someone with ADD waiting in a long line might not be good idea. I dont know.

Yowza! I have adult ADD/ADHD, so you bet I'm gonna get my exit pass! Yehah! I'm now glad I never 'outgrew' this "sickness." My home park too :>
Well, after checking SFGAm's website this is what they "say" about exit passes.

In general, Exit Admission privileges are reserved for guests who are unable to maneuver the queue line. If the guest has the ability to walk, an Exit Admission Pass will not be issued.

Check it out at this link. http://www.sixflags.com/greatamerica/general/disability.cfm

Whats ADD????????
"Attention Deficit Disorder"
There is a big debate now if it is even a real "sickness" or if the people "with it" are just short attentioned spanned or whatever they do.
