Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle is nearly ready for opening day at Paramount's Kings Island. PKI Unlimited.com has posted exclusive photos showing Scooby's exterior is now complete, and is currently being painted. Along with these exclusive photos, a summary from Saturday night's chat with Jeffrey Siebert has been posted.

"Son of Beast has received new restraints which will hopefully be much more comfortable. "

Any ideas about what kind of new restraints?

I don't think new restraints will make the ride more comfortable.
It's tracks are bad, very bad. And at high speed, with a real woodie train -> not good.

They should retrack the whole ride with Stengel's prefabricated track and Intamin trains. It's possible, however, it won't be cheap.
But I guarantee they'd have one of the best woodies in the world then.

Hey Belgian, It might be nice to know what your talking about before making comments like It's tracks are bad, VERY BAD.

SOB trackwork is almost flawless now, Yes there are train issues such as padding and lapbars (The lapbars have been changed somehow for 2003)

All I am saying is that if your speaking without experience, It's just best not to say something like that.

Chuck, who says you can't work on Intamin track, you have to buy it and wait for it to arrive. PKI has a full time woodie crew.

It is my personal belief that Lesourdsville Lake is closed for 2003. I'll let you know if anything is announced.
