Roller Coaster Show on tonight!

On TLC at 8:00, Sream Machines will air. It is a new show! Does anyone know what rides will be featured?
I know. This is the one I have been waiting for. I am hoping that my two favorite woodies will be on- the Beast and SOB. They should be on since the Beast is the longest woodie and SOB breaks nine records. But, if they made the video be4 SOB construction was done, it might not be on. The last set had SOB mentioned, but construction wasnt done.

front car on mf. hope you have the chance to do it.
Did anyone see the people screaming while watching the POV? Thank God I am not one of those Coaster-Phobics
Pretty good so far
what coasters are they featuring? I'd like to see Steel Dragon! I'm on the West coast, so I have 2 more hours to wait. *** This post was edited by DWeaver on 3/21/2001. ***
Even though they did not show a wide variety of coasters, I thought that it was very well put together. I like most of the segments, but I have one question, How can you be afraid roller coasters?

2 for 1 in 2001:SFGAm all the way!!
2002:CPs year 2 rule!
Ask me that question one year ago, and I'd have the answer!

Looking for ideas...
hey I thought it was pretty cool
That was a pretty well done show. They even showed some of Knotts' Coasters! (monte and jaguar were the ones I saw) Was ghostrider on? It is cool that they have sessions to help people get over their fears of coasters at IOA.
I recorded it. Anyone else need a copy?

Nagashima Spaland was featured on a show on the Travel Channel called "Top Ten Thrill Parks." It featured some very good footage of Steel Dragon, both on-ride and off-ride. I'm sure they will show it again.
Yes, I taped it too, this one is a keeper.
This show was a little bit better than the "Secrets" shows, because they didn't have any of the "watch this family on the ride" segments. I hate it when they show cuts shots of people on the ride, instead of the front pov.
They did have a girl on Goliath with a heart monitor to show how fast her heart was beating. It went from 60 Bpm, way up to like 160 on the first drop. But they did some split screens, so you could see the track and what was going on, more footage of the ride.
They showed more footage of MF, Construction of MF, Goliath, Stealth, Raptor, Supreme Scream, other drop rides, Legend, Hulk, Deuling Dragons, the making of the Arrow coaster at Dolly World, SOB, interviews with the Arrow Designer and others. It's as if TLC just went into the vault and pulled all their ride footage, and added the new stuff, must be nice.
I liked David Escalante's comment where he said, 'We want 800 feet and 200 Mph.' Yeah!
They did the comparison to Air Force fighters and the explanation of G forces. They even showed the training facility in San Diego CA with a test ejection seat.

The best part was at the end where they had some computer simulations of the new rides coming up. Arrow has a single hanging car design that goes into a 90 degree drop. Hard to explain in words, pretend you have a B&M coaster, but with only 4 people across or the 1st section of the train. The car is going straight and then goes down 90 degrees without turning, this will be awesome if they build it.

The coaster builders know we want taller, faster rides, they know.

I've said this in other postings. I'd like to see a coaster show with footage of each ride from Start to Finish from the POV camera on front. As the ride is running, the Narrator of the show gives a play by play of each ride element as it happens. At the bottom of the screen, show the speed of the ride. No cut shots. No segments showing people who are scared, heart monitor tests, G force tests, or any of that junk. Give us a freeking show that reviews all the rides from Start to Finish. And no, it won't be boring, the play by play of each ride will keep people interested, and they'll learn the ride elements. I already wrote TLC an e-mail and they got it. Discovery, TTC, and TLC are all the same company. And believe it or not, they want to hear from you.

Talk to you later.
