Renovated Monster Mansion opens at Six Flags Over Georgia

Posted | Contributed by Jeff

Available for the price of amusement park admission: 25,000-square-foot mansion. Fully renovated. Air-conditioned. All new sound system, lighting. Friendly, if furry, neighbors. Close to the marsh. Metro Atlanta’s latest real estate makeover is the old Monster Plantation, Six Flags Over Georgia’s outdated ride, beloved by kids, parents and teens who’ve long made it a junior high tunnel of love. It’s now Monster Mansion —- same building, same winding water trail, same cheery, impossibly stuck-in-your-head music —- but a new ride.

^you mean a "monster" kiss? sorry, i know it's horrible.

I call Cedar Point my home park even though I live in the Chicago Suburbs.

just because it's stuck in my head:

"You're invited."
"To a Pic-Nic"
"Monster Pic-nic,
but humans are allowed to visit...
...join the Monsters at the Mansion. Glad you came inside, Relax enjoy the ride."

"Hey get ready, join the party, hear the music play.

This Plantation, celebration, never ends, because our friends came today to help us say."
Repeat (over and over and over)

and over and over

I loved MP. Some of the charm of that ride was the seriously out of date animatronics that hissed and squeeked. Will be exciting to see what they've done with it.

"Wait, wait! don't go that way!"

The ride was a nice break when it is hot out
The coolness and the dampness are great when the temp exceeds 100 degree's in the park.

I have posted before this ride could throw baseballs at me and I would still ride for the break from the heat.

Have they done anything to extend the que this ride has backed up before it was the new big deal it is now.

If not the line will go down hill past ninja.

Stay out of the Marsh.... Stay Out of the Marsh!!!!!!!!!
