Planet Coaster

I agree on the Parkitect graphics...they're just miserable. If they want cartoony, ok, put solid black lines around everything. It's just so unfinished looking the way they're doing it, and it's disappointing because I really like the system the game uses.

I don't understand this sentiment at all. In fact, I think their "look" is more true to the original RCT than anything (using 3D instead of sprites, of course).

I agree Parkitect's "look" is most similar to the original RCT games but to me it looks like a poor imitation, not the slick improvement you would hope to see more than 15 years after the original.

From a gameplay standpoint, the coaster editor looks nice but I wish they had aspired to more visually. I know the game has fans and I'm not trying to change anyone's minds, just explaining the sentiment, or at least my point of view.

I understand completely what you are saying. Parkitect looks like an improved version of RCT. I once said that I wouldn't be at all surprised if Parkitect used some of the same code as RCT.

That said, it's awesome that someone is making an improvement to the game. Some of the features in this game have been dreamed about by fans of RCT for a long time.

Isn't is odd how a topic about Planet Coaster morphs into another Parkitect topic?

Planet coaster added terraforming. This guy gives a nsfw way showing the things you can do.

Um...that's some interesting landscaping for sure.

What has happened to CoasterBuzz?!?

I was amused at how much fun the guy making the video was having. If I were a fourteen-year-old boy, this would be my favorite video on YouTube.
