Photos of new colors on Batman at GAdv.com

As Batman: The Ride prepares to launch its eleventh season this April, park officials celebrated by giving it a much needed paint of coat featuring a bright yellow and midnight blue combination to replace the all black scheme of the past. Great Adventure Source has new photos of the coaster as well as extensive information on what's in store for the new 2004 season.

If I remember correctly, SFGAm's B:TR is getting the same treatment.
Looks nice, like a brand-new coaster.
So they coated a paint on it?

IMO this looks better than SFMM's B:TR, but I prefer the black myself, or else only yellow rails, as with SFNO's.

Raptor Pilot is that sarcasm?lol

If they use wheels that aren't ribbed, I'll be impressed. Honestly, I've never heard an inverter as loud as that one.
Ooh, yeah that's like the color scheme of the ride at Six Flags Over Texas.
MForcer: Yeah. See the OP.
I dunno...seems like an unusually high concentration of blue and yellow in the same area. It does look pretty good though, and does make it seem like a much younger ride.

But on a mildly unrelated note: am I the only one who thinks the "It's playtime" slogan is...um...how can I put this gently...bad?

I agree. Water under the bridge, but if they used the same color as B:TDK it would look alot better. I guess they'll think of that in 2015.
Anyone know if SFMM's and SFoG's Batman will be yellow??
Is it true that SFGAm's Batman is getting that treatment except with maroon supports instead...that would look cool

Looks nice!
I really like how the spine and rails are both painted the same color, it really looks nice. I just hope that the paint on the rails doesn't start chipping away because that'll look terrible.
Wouldn't put too much money on that one lilspike - it's sort of a given that the rails will loose most of the paint in the wheel tracks.
I wonder why the don't do as Intamin does and paint the rails without painting the areas where the wheels come in contact with the steel. It seems as though the wheel path is masked-out during the painting process.

The Intamin track is painted with something though... some kind of tougher paint. It feels almost chalky when it's new, and more durable than the glossy stuff.
Won't that be kind of odd if SFGAm's Batman gets that paint treatment? I mean, I like it and all, but V2 is painted the same exact colors, isn't it? It would seem kind of repetitive. I mean, if they do paint it, I'm not complaining, it will look great (it's needed a paint job forever) but painting it all black again wouldn't be bad either.*** This post was edited by Glitch01 3/24/2004 1:06:41 PM ***
Maybe Intamin track has some kind of coating applied on top of the paint, kind of like a clearcoat on a car except not that shiny and reflective.
