Park with the best 1 - 2 punch.

I was looking over the CoasterBuzz 100. Something stood out to me. If you add up the two favorite rides per park, the top parks are interesting.

All I did was take the average of the coaster's placement in the top 100

1: Cedar Point

Millennium Force 4

Maverick 14 = (18)/2 = 9

2: Six Flags New England

Wicked Cyclone 9

Superman: the Ride 12 = (21)/2 = 10.5

3a: Carowinds

3b: Canada's Wonderland

5a: King's Island

5b: Six Flags Magic Mountian

I know that this is completely subjective. Do people agree, does a better first coaster score higher, i am sorry if this is garbage. Its just something i thought of for National Roller Coaster Day.

I don't think two dimensions are enough. Cedar Point, Kings Island, Carowinds and Canada's Wonderland all have three or more above average rides.

Declaring one or another best is kind of futile.

Yeah. The more i think about it, i'll have to add more information. Thanks

Is there a park with two Dragon Wagons?

The fact that I don't see SFoG on the list with Goliath and Mind Bender....honestly makes me question the methodology. Best steel duo running in the US, IMO. (NB: not having ridden Wicked Cyclone).

Have I unwittingly become a homer?

Edit: SFKK with Lightning Run and Storm Chaser is pretty awesome as well.

Cedar Point easily has the best one-two punch of classic car rides on the planet.

Antique Cars, BAM! Cadillac Cars, KAPOW!

Good luck catching your breath.

Just of of curiosity, what do you think it's Canada's Wonderland's third above average ride?

That's because MindBender isn't that good. :-P I do love Goliath oG, but I think we're in the minority on that one.

It was 3 not so long ago.

They removed my favorite one for Valravn. While it was the hardest for a normal sized adult to fit into, it easily had the best layout, scenery, and setting.

How can you be so wrong with the first comment but SO right on the second one.... LOL! ;~)

Cedar point may now have the best 1-2 punch in a corner!

tall and fast but not much upside down

I was going to say the same thing. Cedar Point is even marketing this new hybrid coaster as a compliment to Maverick. There's your one-two punch.

I'll take El Toro and (whatever. Let's say Nitro) over any of these.

Not sure if it's CP or Travis, but someone misspelled Millennium Force again...

Yep. I'll have to agree on that, now that you mention it.

At least from my perspective, Vortex. I love that ride.

Agreed on Mind Bender. It's fun and all, but there's nothing about it that stands out to me.

Mind Bender is an anomaly. Its appeal for me is the trains/restraints, the unique layout through the woods, and the vertical loops. It of course doesn't have the intensity that most modern loopers have, but that's part of why I like it.

I love for your thought on this. And somewhat I must have to agree with that list. I'm sure Cedar Point will only grow stronger with the new addition of Steel Vegeanance.

Yes! Cedar Point will have the best top 3 of any park!

Cedar Point's 4 through 6 could stand up against most parks' top 3.

It is remarkable how many top 100 coasters CP has/will have. Currently 7 (in order: MF, Maverick, TTD Raptor, Valravn, Gatekeeper, Magnum) and I'm assuming Steel Vengeance will also place. Wicked Twister and Rougarou could easily headline at most parks as well.
