New Intamin Hyper

This is the first I heard of this... this link was posted on RRC.

Does anyone know more about it? There are some vague stats on the page, but if anyone knows any specifics I would love to hear them.
Other than it is an Intamin Mega Coaster that is being built at Holiday Park in germany, I do not know.

2001- the year of flight!
I've heard about this ride as well. Judging from the construction pictures, it's got black supports and fire red/oragne track. Interestingly, the track is MF style with the full box track shape, and it may be just me, but the lift hill track looks mysteriously elevator-lift cable style. Could this be a european giga? I guess I'll have to wait for the next First Drop...
According to the technical stats on that page, it'll be between 55-62 meters, or 180-203 ft.

110 km/h is only 68 mph, so I don't think we're looking at a giga.

That's an elevator lift for sure. The I-beams for the lift sled and flywheels make that for certain. Interesting that we've heard little to nothing about it.

This coaster gets a cablelift, because it will use only 2 trains. To increase the capacity of this coaster, Intamin will use the cablelift.
I also thought it looked like the cable/sled system judging by those pics. It is weird that we haven't heard anything about this. Does anyone know of an official announcement?
Looks like Intamin is getting away from unreliable chains.

Oooooh, my freekin' head.... Too many G's Too many G's! No, no, Too much Beer before the G's! Home Park: Knott's Berry Farm
Yeah, should be a little more difficult to snap a cable! ;)

I heard there will be details about this in the next issue of First Drop. Does anyone know if this is the case?

I don't know, but I just heard from Justin of ECC that it'll be a double issue and it should return from the printers early next week.

It can't be a clone of SROS as it's a cable lift. Just to verify this, none of the SROSes have cable lifts?

Ge-Force's lift looks to be set at 45 degrees like MF's. Like some of you said, Intamin are probably done with chain lifts. This way is faster, more reliable & compact.

Anyone think this coaster will be sponsored by NVIDIA? :)

Home Park - Wonderland Sydney, Australia, featuring;
1) The Demon - 1988 Vekoma Boomerang
2) The Bush Beast - 1985 KEC Woodie (Clone of PKD's Grizzly)
3) Beastie - 1985 KEC Junior Woodie
4) More steel coasters please!!! Preferably a B&M Masterpiece!
In Amusement Today it was reported that the lift will be 180.something feet (I don't recall the fraction offhand). Probably works out to whatever 55 meters is. I wonder if it will drop into a tunnel?
Yeah, I read about it in Amusement Today also.
I got the new First Drop yesterday and it said that this coaster would have a vertical drop. Yikes!
I saw a picture of the track somewhere and it looked similar, but not exactly like Intamin track.
There's a link at the top of the thread. It looks EXACTLY like Intamin track.

Heh, I don't think anyone noticed your post, dude. Lemme try to help. ;)

Expedition G-Force will have a completely vertical drop...on a standard hyper...with hyper trains (ie, long)...cable lift (ie, fast)...

All according to First Drop of course! ;) Could you imagine this drop?!

I could, but I'd rather ride it. :)
