Marineland closing

Visiting Marineland is a 63 year tradition in Niagara Falls. That tradition will continue, but in a new exciting way. We look forward to welcoming you to Marineland's Wildwater Kingdom in 2024.

if only they could relocate dragon mountain to a different park I will be happy.

^Me too but that thing is a total terrain coaster built around the hill. I don't think it's even possible.

Yes, the Canadian side of the falls is better in my opinion.

We went to Marineland in 2005. The animals were cute. That's the only noteworthy memory I have of the place.

I'd pay $20 just to go to the deer petting zoo. Is that still a thing there?

Yes, Clifton Hill is the Canadian version of the Jersey shore....

Hi

PhantomTails:

When I was there a couple years ago they still had the deer, but the gate was locked and one could not go in with them.

I guess some people caused them to stampede and it killed some of them. So they quit letting people in.

marine land doesn’t have a lot of rides, but they have a few great, unique rides. Dragon Mt, Huss Magic, the amazing Zierer Star Shape, a Huss Condor (that has an operated for a few years) and the Zierer Magic Carpet. Plus, if one likes drop towers, the location of theirs is pretty special. Plus they have a nice Wave Swinger and the Ocean Odyssey dumbo type ride. Hopefully these don’t end up scrapped

I guess at one time full-size steam trains were purchased, but the railroad was never installed. And a canal was dug for a boat rides that was never realize. Attractions like that would definitely make this park better

Sounds about right for Marineland.

I tried to check their site on Wednesday (which is when I first heard about the announcement) and all I found there was a "Website under maintenance!" placeholder. It's been like that ever since, as far as I've seen. Did they put up a new site and then immediately take it down?

The deer park was one of the most disturbing things there and personally my first indication of animal abuse issues..

You could buy these green pellets to feed them. But as soon as you did the deer would swarm you and start pushing you around to feed. Like two dozen of them. They'd chew on your shorts, shoes and shirts and were really aggressive. Saw kids getting pushed over and screaming. We got out of there and had green deer glop all over us.

Based on the aggression we assumed they were not being fed regularly to sell deer feed. It was really unpleasant and definitely needed a shower after.

I believe the size of Marineland is 3 times bigger than Canada's Wonderland so a lot of money could transform the park into a HUGE amusement park!!!
