Knott family member dies

Virginia Knott Bender, daughter of the late theme- park pioneers Walter and Cordelia Knott and a longtime director of Knott's Berry Farm, died Friday after a long battle with cancer. She was 90. An entrepreneur, mother and philanthropist, she was known by friends and family for her gracious style, sense of humor and trademark red hair.
