Kennywood mechanic profiled in local paper

The "finest traditional amusement park" is also home to one of the finest ride mechanics. Fred Weber has worked at Kennywood for decades, and believes that he's never had a bad day at work.

That's a neat story. I like how they call him "Legend, the Man, the Myth"

I hear he gets free admission so he always goes about two or three times a week.

Also, he's almost 70 years old. Now, does anyone actually think he looks his age? I guess it's Kennywood that keeps you young ;).

Excellent article. I wouldn't mind that job, a bonus is building up muscles :). Does anyone know if Fred maintained the Steel Phantom & what he thinks of PR?
After looking at his picture i began to think
what if riding coasters 2-3 times a weak makes you look younger. I could start a company and make millions i tell ya millions!!!
Fred always said it was working with the younger guys that kept him looking and feeling young. The mechanics at KW are from the old school. They really care about their jobs, for it is their life.
