is cedar fair goona add a invert to all their park

they already did it with hypers and i can see them doing it with inverts since raptor is soo loved and if talon comes out nice (which it will)
i believe next will be knotts than the others. i bet that knotts wouldve had talon if theyd have sold wind jammer earlier.
I hate to tell ya, but not all Cedar Fair parks have hypers.

I for one, can't get enough of inverted coasters, and the way I see it, the more, the better :).

Two CF parks quickly come to mind w/o hypers. And it's been 7 years since Raptor. I guess it's possible, but I kind of have the feeling towards no. Not even all their parks have the much cheaper Power Towers which are good buys for marketing, thrills, etc. I currently have no interest in going to any other CF park so it personally doesn't matter to me. I'll have to see about Talon.

Which of the CF parks has no S&S towers? Dorney has the Dominator, WOF has the Detonator, VF has Power Tower, CP also has Power Tower, and KBF has Supreme Scream. I guess that Camp Snoopy at the Mall of America has no S&S towers, but I think that the reason is fairly obvious as to why.

I believe the chances of VF, KBF, and WOF getting an inverted in the future are fairly good, although I haven't the slightest clue as to what order CF will choose (please let WOF be first!). The inverteds are a sure draw, for enthusiasts and the GP alike.

As for having no interest in going to other CF parks, why? Ghostrider is fantastic, Steel Force is one of the top rated steel coasters in the world, and Mamba is easily the most underrated coaster I know of. While the parks don't have the ride volume of CP, they are fun and offer a different experience.

1)Been to CP. Disappointed overall in coasters after much hype but I will return this year.
2)Been to Dorney. Hated Hercules enough to never step into that park again. Steel Force was fun, but the rest of the park was average. Only if Talon is best invert ever or an excellent ride willl I return.(I've been very spoiled by DD, Montu, and Alpie)
3)Been to Knott's. Hated Windjammer. Loved Monte and GhostRider(Beast, Raven, Legend, SOB are much closer and better IMO). Felt boomerang and Jaguar were very below average. Supreme Scream was fun. I like PKI's Drop Zone better. Perilous Plunge was fun. I go to IOA 3x a year and like Dudley much better. Decent park but nothing currently to return for.
4)Never been to WoF. I don't know much about it but Timber Wolf intrigues me. I've heard Mamba is the worst of CF hypers so that's a backstep. I'll probobly go in the next couple years.
5)#1 thing that lost any interest in VF, 5 coasters. Yeah, there's Wild Thing, but CP is only 3 hrs. away and I get two "hypers" there.
6)Well, we know about CS, but this is the most likely one for me to go to after CP. I just really want to visit the MoAmerica, not really CS.
-lastly, I don't like spin & pukes which is a big park of the 5 big ones
So, there you go...And I'll take a SF over the lower 4 anyday...except SFEG. I fell so sorry for the park but what do you do.

The Timber Wolf is a great coaster that is basically an out and back design with an upward helix mid-ride. The coaster ran really well on opening day, and the airtime was incredible.

As for Mamba being the worst of the CF hypers, I've never heard anyone else report that. In fact, what I usually hear is that Wild Thing is the worst of the four. I've ridden Magnum, and I've ridden Mamba, and I liked Mamba better. The second drop on Mamba (184 feet) is the real surprise, and the helix is fast and furious. The camelbacks on the return trip make for a great stretch run to the station. I can understand if some think other coasters are better (everyone has their own opinion), but I've never talked to anyone who was let down by Mamba. It has loads of airtime yet enough positive G's in the helix to make it a well-rounded ride and my overall #1.

I've never heard a bad thing said about Mamba. In fact, everyone I've talked to that's ridden it has nothing but high praise for it. Those who have ridden it and many other hypers, myself included, often prefer it to the others. It's been neglected I think because of it's location. If it was in Ohio, or on one of the coasts in a hotbed of competition, I think many more would sing it's praise, and it would receive a lot more attention.

Timber Wolf I love too. I rode it in the morning last time I was there and hated it! It was bad and I wasn't going to ride it again. Then I walked on it in the afternoon for the heck of it, and it was great, like a whole other ride. I've seen the best and the worst it can do. When it's behaving well, it's one mean ride! (I've know plenty of wood coasters that vary from ride to ride, but I've never seen such an extreme change in one day as I did with the Wolf)

Wow, Peabody, you must be my long-lost twin brother or something :-) You are exactly right as to why Mamba gets overlooked--location. While Kansas City is plenty big, WOF doesn't get the attention of the parks in bigger cities or the marquee parks, like CP and BGW. I think it's a real shame that more people don't get to experience Mamba--I really believe that it is a top ten caliber ride.

T-Wolf can be a moody ride. It does seem to run better later in the day (I rode at about 5 pm). I was also fortunate enough that the trim was not on at the bottom of the first drop. The airtime on the ride was the best I've experienced in years, especially on the hill after the first turnaround. Now if they'd just get rid of those headrests...

Thanks for the info Peabody and Rentch. That kind of helps. It really doesn't have much to do with the coasters even though they only have 3(I have NO interest in Wacky Worm or Boomerang at ALL). Just, as you said location. It's hard to get down there from Ohio and spend much time for the long trip. The closest parks I want to visit there are about 4 hrs. North. Even Valleyfair way up in Minnesota is closer to WoF than other other big park(besides SDC and SFStL). I'll make it there someday. I promise. :)
