Interactive attractions add to theme park experience

It's no longer enough to entertain theme-park guests. You've got to make them part of the action. Interactive elements are becoming increasingly common and more sophisticated at theme parks. Visitors can use wands to light up hats and chandeliers, play high-tech games, and have conversations with animatronic creatures.

I've still only done something like this once, when it was still the Kim Possible thing at Epcot. My wife and kid the thing back in Adventure Land at Magic Kingdom with the map and stuff. They have something similar on at least some of the Disney cruise ships as well.

I didn't read the article, but I do know first hand that people love this stuff and seek out attractions to give an excuse to interact with their kids. It's a win-win.
Somewhat funny because the initial thought was "oh, a bunch of coaster people getting together"...
