Posted | Contributed by Captain Matt

Like Samuel L. Jackson said in Jurassic Park, "Hold on to your butts!" Kings Dominion has launched Hypersonic XLC, and it'll put your body in check at 80 mph in two seconds.

Just a note.. I hope a lot of people ride it, and it becomea success so PCW can get one, hopefully an even bigger one...
Personnaly i don't think Paramound did what they could of done with this design.

It is only the first one so i will let it got but the 2nd one is already confirmed for japan and reaches 107 in 4 seconds.

i just feel that Paramount prehaps dident take the ride to its full potential

saying that id LOVE to ride the thing anyway
remeber that Paromount bought the prototype. And it iss just that a prototype, where the concept of the ride is emphasized over its potential.
Im so happy, in 2 more days I'll be riding it!

"You're just pressed against the seat," Ruben said. "Why someone hadn't thought of doing that before, I don't know."

What does that mean?

I think Paramount has a history of doing that. Look at Project Stealth. It could have been a lot better.

Who cares? It is still gonna be a sweet ride.

Coasters- a little slice of heaven
Ride the ride first, then tell us how much more Paramount could have done. The ride could be great as is. Remember, they didn't have to build it at all.
When I was there over the summer 2000 I saw construction going on and it was just landscaping but i have seen pictures of it and it looks fine just they way it is it looks fun too
Do judge a book by its cover. It might be fun! It am going to ride it on Saturday!!

This is one of those no-nonsense straight to the point rides. I hope to ride one in the future. It looks sweet.

I got my share of rides on XLC today. Let me just say that was one wonderful ride! The launch really takes your breath away. And the top of the hill has some intense, sustained airtime.

The ride is incredibly smooth. I guess the aircraft tires have something to do with it. (If only the airplane I fly would go from 0 to 80 so quickly!)

My largest complaint is that the ride is so darn short. The ride is over in just a few seconds. But boy, what wonderful seconds those are!

Today was only one train (eight seats) so the line moved very slowly. The good news is that more trains are on the property and will be added over the next weeks. I think XLC's capacity should be about 900 an hour when they get everything running.

I don't think that the ride had any problems today except one rollback that I got to see. I only wish that I had been on that train because they have a great story to tell now! The ride was back accepting passengers after about a 12 minute delay.

I did see a couple guys in lawn chairs taking notes today. And one had an S&S sweatshirt. I look forward to their next creation!!!!
