Highest bidders buy memories from Myrtle Beach Pavilion

Most of the items from The Myrtle Beach Pavilion looked destined for the landfill – old arcade games and go-carts, creaky restaurant equipment and rickety benches. But for a number of bidders it was the memories in the items that gave them value at Thursday's auction.

Anybody here bid and win any items? Haunted Hotel cars would be cool to have. It makes me :( when a carousel is broken apart though. Shame MBP is gone.
I believe the horse that was sold was a display piece (either fiberglass or aluminum)especially at that price. It was not from the Herschell-Spillman machine, which was moved to B&C's new operation down the Strand.

I thought Haunted Hotel was on of the top 5 dark rides I've ridden. I'm happy to have had that opportunity.

Thankfully, THE carousel was saved.
