Flat Rides

The Zipper! Wicked ride! Love it! Way out of control...I wonder why they don't feature versions of this ride at permanent parks? Too dangerous? (that could be improved) Low capacity? (they could design a larger one)...

Anyway, it is pretty much the only carnival ride I'll get on...with the exception of large portable coasters of course!

By the way, what's a Mondial Topscan?

Gotta love a good rotor.

Oh...and although I never had a chance to ride it, "The Whip" looked like a really neat ride.

I would try to describe it, but I could never do it justice. Take a quick peek at the link below for a quick overview of the operation and some pictures

Those pictures actually make the ride look tame. Just remember, that thing is spinnin' at 32.5 miles an hour in 4 different directions...

I love the feeling you get on a scrambler when your flung towards the gaurdrails and get that great whiplash!
Mondial Topscan looks like a wacked-out version of Chaos, another ride you have to do a double take on to figure out what the h*ll it's doing...

Currently, the only place in the US you take a spin on a Mondial Topscan is on Samurai at Lagoon in Farmington, Utah. A Topscan rides like a Zipper/Scrambler hybrid, if that makes any sense. It has the crazy flipping sensation of a Zipper with the whip sensation of a Scrambler. Add the great visuals (I could swear to God we were going to slam into the main arm of the ride so many times throughout the ride...) and you've got a great ride.
