Fire destroys maintenance building at Mt. Olympus

A Mt. Olympus maintenance building is considered a total loss after a fire broke out early Wednesday morning, Lake Delton officials said. Hotel and water park operation are not affected.

After my last visit 5-ish years ago, I found myself wishing the entire park would burn down. Never have I seen such a poorly designed and run park.

sounds like the old annual one week after the season ends fire on the Jersey piers.

Or the any-old-time at Conneaut.
The irony of the “maintenance” building burning isn’t lost on me.

To paraphrase the Ed Wood classic "Plan 9 From Outer Space":

"Maintenance building? That would indicate... maintenance!"

I made 1 visit to Mt. Olympus way back in 2010 and at the time didn't think it was that bad. Maybe I caught the park on a good day (is there such a thing?).
