You watched it grow up, now you can see it in action. Holiday Park in Germany has opened its new Intamin hyper coaster, Expedition Ge-Force, and even US audiences are drooling.

Show me the photos!.

These appear to be the slightly larger Millennium Force-style trains. Very nice! It's kind of neat to see a station without a roof.

Ouch, I just tripped over my jaw.
Those sure are brightly colored trains - I wonder if they glow in the dark!

Amazing what an american/english influence there is at that park. I mean, the park is called Holiday Park, I would think that they would have a German way of saying it. Probably half the people there don't even know what Holiday Park means. Same for Expedition Ge Force. Anyway, looks like an unbelievable coaster!

Most europeans speak some english Its not uncommon for them to know 3 or 4 languages. As for the ride wow first the beer now this I going back for sure to Germany now.

The best looking coaster in the World opens and I can't get there to ride it. Let's hope a coaster that uses the best of all 4 big Intamin's comes close to home very soon. PKI better be looking at this unless a decision was already made. I know I'll be showing them these pics if the announcement doesn't come through to my hopes. Even though the trains look slightly larger, the Intamin hyper/giga trains have to be my favorite.

A few comments...

1] WOW!
2] Interesting how they have a small guide track extending down vertically from the top of the lift for the pulley cart to compensate for the twist in the first drop.
3] WOW!
4] Anyone else know why that one section of track over the last bunnyhop remains unpainted?
5] That first drop must create a wicked air/lateral combo in the rear half of the train!
6] WOW!
That's one tite coaster!

I don't love roller coasters...I'm obsessed with them. BGW and PKD baby!
1st drop looks like a pepsi max big one clone!!!
...except its almost if not vertical.
I like the unpainted portion. It looks like it is actually colored more like the support structure to blend in a little! I think the did it to make it look nice over the entrance. Gotta love the coaster doing a bunny hop over the entrance.

joey isch: the drop is 80*...just like on Millennium Force. It looks steeper because of the turn.
hmmmmmmmmm....... Maybe that Silver piece of track is that way for a reason.

Maybe it's just me or does it seem like they rushed the opening of it. The station doesn't even have a roof yet! Also, why does Millennium Force remain to be the only Intamin hyper/giga with headrests.

BTW you gotta just love those EGF trains.

"This time I think ... I think it's ... it's going to work!" - Dr.Bruce Banner
Uh, the twisting first drop looks kinda ugly due to Intamin's box-design track. But oh well, ultimately it's all about the ride experience.
Looks like one heck of a ride in Germany!

"They" better put a roof on the station because if it rains out, it's going to screw up the controls/wires. In the off-season, if it snows, that is worst. So are they going to put a roof on the station??

Why are there no headrests on teh trains? What's up with that?

I wish the MF would have had the exact layout as this ride only with its first drop and overbanked turn. It looks like it has alot of airtime.
News Flash: Millennium Force is the only Intamin hyper coaster I believe with headrest. Why? It's not because you'd ever get whiplash, but because Cedar Fair is a little too cautious about such things. As for the coaster it looks awesome (not sure about the train colors though) and I wish I could travel with my parents in a suitcase to Austria so I could travel to Germany and also ride Collosus. *** This post was edited by Intamin Fan on 6/20/2001. ***
