Does any one remember the game: "Disney Roller Coa

I know this forum is for Roller Coaster Tycoon, but since this is the only forum in the "Games" category, I'm posting it in here. I remember a game from the early half of the 90's, called Disney's Roller Coaster, or something of that sort, where you specifically designed a roller coaster, and allowed a group of testers to ride it to see how it racked up. That was my favorite game, but I have no idea what happened to, and I've never heard of anyone else who had that game, nor have I found anything about it, not that I looked too much.;) But, I'm just asking; has anyone else heard of this game?
I played that game in highschool. (I think) Is that the game where there were these weird looking boys and girls and they would ride your coaster you designed and then rate it. Quotes I remember were things like "Woah" "Are you going to play elevator music on this ride" One person rated rides to his grandma I think. That is all I remember about that coaster game, but I had forgotten the name.

I have it somewhere... it really shows its age though when you play it. The graphics are simple and it is very unrealistic compared to today's games. I think (not sure) it is in the public domain now. If anyone can confirm this, I will find it in my archives if anyone is interested.

It was very cool, and I too have it somewhere on the old hard drive! The physics model wasn't very good, but it was still fairly amazing to ride your coasters with a little imagination. The amazing thing is that the game would run on old 8086 PC's without a hard drive. We've come a long way!

My friend has it. I think it was totally limited. RCT is great compared to it. But it was cool to ride your own coasters.
I have it. I just got it last year from my friend. He said I might like it. He was wrong-since I had RCT I thought it was a piece of crap. Just to show how old and crappy it is, it runs on my old 33mhz. computer and the whole game is on a 3 1/2 inch disk.
Hey I have that game. It's pretty neat. I prefer RCT however, but you can ride your coaster with the Disney one which makes it worth having! Since you can't buy it anymore, there's a place where you can download it. I'll see if i can find it and I'll post the address for everyone.

Thanks! :D

BTW, I didn't say it was better than RCT. But to be fair, that game came out along time ago, so it's going to be crapier than RCT. Anyway, if you find that link, CoasterFreakBailes, I will be eternily greatful. I'm sure since it's so old, it wouldn't take too long to download. That was my favorite game back then.:)
its build engine is far more versatile. yous set every angle by intervals of 1 degree!!!!
I have the game. The game is fun, but RCT is much better. On the Disney game at leats you can ride the Rollercoasters.
I have that game. I only played it once but it doesn't compare to RCT.

I think some of you are a little spoiled... RCT couldn't have existed 12 years ago when Disney's game came out, so of course RCT is better.

My first PC (an IBM PS/2 model 25) didn't even have a hard drive. Disney's Coaster pushed the limits of what that 8 MHz machine with 128K (as in one eighth of a megabyte) could do.

Don't take your computers for granted... it wasn't that long ago that the power on your desk didn't exist anywhere. Geeze, we even had to use the text only (no GUI) version of Word Perfect when I graduated from college in '95!

i downloaded it from an rct site (i forget the site, sorry). it took me like an hour to figure out how to start building correctly. it was an ok game, especially for its age.

Hey! I found it! :) No problem what-so-ever. First, here's a link to the DC-Edit file. It allows you to change the degree on banking. You can descend at greater angles and bank at greater angles. http://www.mtco.com/~dgrooms/dc-edit.html
Now here's the link you've all been waiting for. The file size is only 931KB. Here's the link!! http://www.compusmart.ab.ca/remi/coaster/game.html

Here is a link that has Coaster! and other coaster games I never heard of which I am going to try... check it out. http://www.zoomnet.net/~jdgroh/
I remember playing that game for hours at a time. I wish they would come out with another game like that sometime, where you only build coasters and then get to ride them. If they could allow you to build different types of coasters, give you more customization of paint on the track, cars, and maybe even let you design your own cars. Game designers could do so much with this game and I would be one of the first in line to buy it.
I have been thinking about making a coaster-like game for a while now, but for it to look decent, it needs to be done with a true 3D engine. Making realistic-looking curved track in a real 3D engine that uses 3D cards is VERY hard to do, and things would probably be really jagged without realistic curves.
I absolutely loved that game, I remember there was a top ten or five list on it and my brother and I constantly tried to better each others coasters. My Ps/2 is still alive, so every o9nce in a while I'll play the ole Coaster game, it's a classic
I love that game i found it in a box last week
and started playin it
1 word Nice
I used to love that game. The one thing I wish RCT had that Coaster! had was the first person view on a coaster. I think it would be cool to be able to test them like that!
