Coaster through another coaster?

Are there any coasters that pass through the loop of another coaster? I don't believe I have ever been on one but they must exist.

My name is Jason, and I'm addicted to coasters.
Jaguar! at KBF paases through the loop of Monte.
At Knotts, Jaguar goes through the loop of Montezooma's revenge.

Yes, that is true. But I think that jdancisin was talking about a coaster passing through a loop of another (different) coaster.
That would be a great element, but tricky to build. How about interlocking loops of different coasters? That would be something. :)

That was (kind of) done once, CrystalKat. Six Flags Great Adventure once had 2 Arrow shuttle coasters (Lightning Loops), and their loops were interlocked. Anyone have pictures? It's been so long I can't remember if they launched the coasters simultaneously or not.

Sweet! I'd love to see the pics if anyone has them available. Thanx Peabody! ;)

Peabody beat me to it! And yes, they did launch them together. One of my books shows a pic....don't remember which one though.

An unnerving stillness in the woods of southern Indiana beckons for you on May 11th.....
Don't have any pics but, when lightning loops was first built they did coordinate the launch. After an accident where a rider was killed they did not allow the trains to enter the loops at the same time after that.
This was a case of watching a fine ride die a very very slow death, as after the accident they usually ran one or the other of the loops but not both together. After a second accident one loop was sold to another park I don't remember which one. The ride operated intermittently after that and the second loop was finally sold around 1990 to another park. Batman the Ride now stands on the location where Lightning Loops stood.
Orient Express has interlocking loops. It and Nessie are the only two coasters with that element.

How was the rider killed?
Camel,
The investigation was kind of unclear but, according to the local papers the rider hit the other train. This was reported by the areas local newspaper who had a vendeta against the park since the fire in the haunted house. According to the park people that I have talked to that were there during the time of the accident the rider was thrown from his seat and was hit by the other train before falling to the ground.
I am personally still not exactly clear on it and I don't think that other than police and whitness reports that have kind of disappeared after all these years that anyone knows exactly what happened.
The ride was closed permently and removed after a second person was thrown from the train and killed in the early 90s. This one was documented quite well, the person jumped the gate and got into the car after the restraints were lowered and locked. The ride op in that case had the good sense to keep the restraints locked so that everyone was trapped untill park officials got there. Even though the second accident that spelled the end for ligtning loops was a clear case of rider misconduct, the park chose to close and dismantle the ride. I understand that the park that purchased the first loop also wanted the second and GADV refused to sell it to them but that was just a rumor.
I wish we could see more coasters that shoot thru their own vertical loop like Revolution.
this is really sad..i've been on riddler's revenge so many times, but i THINK the lift hill goes through one of the loops, well atleast it looks like it on the pictures, and cant quite remember actually going through it though
Never been on it, or even within 1000 miles of it, but I am 100% sure it does.
Doesn't Kumba at BGT have the lift hill through its own vertical loop?

Doesnt Goliath go through Colossus structure or is it just the supports that go through it?

Hulk's second vertical loop surrounds the midcourse brake run. Unless I remember wrong.

Go to www.hansapark.de to find pix of A custom Schwarzkopf single looper called NESSIE. Theres a Vekoma Minetrain called Racing Roland, whose layout runs through the loop of Nessie.
As for Schwarzkopf, he used the idea of track running through a loop quite often.
Apart from REVOLUTION this feature can be found on his transportable double loops, and his smaller single loop coaster SILVER ARROW (BGT).

The lift of RIDDLER runs through a loop and one Immelmann, KUMBA runs through the loop as well.
Most notable is the horizontal helix of B&Ms inverter PYRENEES, that flies through the horizontal loop. The coaster can be found in Japan.
