Coaster show's claim

I recall that this show claimed that there was never a freefall coaster. I know that this is not true, especially in 2001. There are plenty of freefalls.

Tell me if I missed any.

What is life with out coasters, geniuses, and/or SFA
The show that was on tonight (is on now, in fact) claimed that today's wood coasters do things that hadn't even been thought of in the 1920's, referring to Son Of Beast's vertical loop. Funny, according to InCoasterPaedia, the Loop-The-Loop coaster at Olentangy Park here in Columbus opened in 1908...!

The announcer had some trouble with phrases like, "Paramount's Kings Island."

Haha I know I noticed the announcer with some trouble. I t was a overall good show though. I just wish they would have showed something on the 4D X coaster!!!

I was surprised that they didn't show any footage of Hypersonic XLC, but hey, I don't produce the things, what would I know about up-and-coming coasters? :)

You can't forget Superman @ SFMM! (I can't believe I'm saying this!?)

"Maybe I ain't so shy!"
Yeah. Or the fact that the loop was invented two centuries ago. =)
You missed Oblivion and G5. Also, I love the way those coaster shows make ridiculous claims and make up terms for coasters. I think that the media is generally bad at understanding something they don;t know too much about. If you know a lot about a topic, you can always point out several faults in media coverage.

Also they said that a "hypercoaster" was anything over 200 feet, which makes SOB a hyper, and Apollo's chariot not.

These shows are prepared months in advance; and the filming was all done last season, long before Hypersonic was built. In fact judging by the color of the wood on Raven the film of it was even older.
Apoloo's is over 200 ft. The drop is 210 ft. Case closed. I'm not trying to start the dreaded "what is a hypercoaster debate".

Coasters- a little slice of heaven
SOn of the beast is over 200 ft

FEAR THE FOUR
Drachen fire what will happen to it?
Son of Beast has a lift height of 218" and a first drop of 214" which means that SoB is the only hyper woodie, and the tallest coaster with an inversion! (That record was previously held by Steel Phantom!)
I was just saying that the height of Apollo's chariot is not over 200 feet which according to the show doesn't make it a hypercoaster, Nothing more!
