Cedar Point and LeBron James...

I didn't give a crap about LeBron before not giving a crap about LeBron was cool.

Hi

If I posted here people would assume I know what a basketball is.

If he should come back and Cedar Point makes good on their promise, I'll croak. You can guess which of those events would more likely cause it.

Come on guys, I care so little, it's more like Meh-bron James, am I right?

Moar like LeBron LAMES. Get it? I changed the J to an L and made it another word that describes how I feel about that person.

Browns fans are hard core. Hopeless dreamers, but hard core. I have nothing but respect for that.

I feel* the opposite way: What incentive does the team have to improve if fans keep packing the stadium? ;) The Browns are the Michigan's Adventure of the NFL.

*Except not really, because I invented not caring less than about sports.

I guess that would make them the Chicago Cubs of the NFL as well?

Wait, wait. I think I mean the NBA?

Ah, crap. I shouldn't try speaking sports. I don't understand the language....

Cleveland is definitely a Browns town first. Given a choice of championships, most fans (by a lot) would pick a Super Bowl title for the Browns. Indians would be a distant second followed by Cavs at further distant third.

That being said, the fans are more than happy to support a winner. In any sport. We put 20,000 fans out in Richfield to support the Cleveland Force (when soccer meant a lot less to the area than it does now) with the Cavs drawing 3,000 fans the next night. The Force won.

Browns are only Cleveland team that can continue to get fan support despite losing. And since coming back, the Browns have been about as bad as they could be.

Absolutely the wrong place to discuss basketball, more specifically LeBron. However, I would like to make a correction: LBJ took a pay cut to go to Miami. He is not about money contrary to uninformed popular belief. This is the first year he is asking for a MAX DEAL and he is almost 30, which is kind of crazy considering he is a 4 time MVP and 2 time Finals MVP.. He is more concerned with roster. And if you dont agree with me, I would be more than happy to post hundreds of articles that support my claim so.. LOL

The Cavs have had a terrible front office and I know it is hard for Northern Ohio to swallow but its a fact. Who was it that they decided to keep instead of trading to the Suns for Amare? Wasnt it like Jamario Moon or Hickson or whoever? Instead they continued with Jamison who played zero defense...

Anyway, I felt it was important to squash some misinformation thats out there. But on thing is for certain- LBJ is one of the most polarizing athletes.

If this thread could support my opinions about basketball, I would've posted them already.

Not about money? That's naïve. A guy with a ring commands more money for endorsements, where the real money is to be made. Ask Jordan, he's still selling underwear.

Oh my gosh, hahaha. Referring to salary within a team.

And you pointing out his endorsements further bolsters the idea that LeBron doesnt necessarily even need a max contract, which is why he has never asked for one up until this upcoming year.

Stick to rollercoasters man, no offense or hate. Theres evidence everywhere: LBJ has always been more concerned with roster than money.

Wait, were you implying that the reason LeBron wanted to win a ring (Championship) is so he could bolster endorsement deals?

I hope that isnt what you meant, please help me understand what you mean..

Pssssht. Jeff has seen more broken chains and walked down more lifts than the number of functioning rides you have been on. You don't even know the half of it.

Since when is wanting to win a bad thing? When you're not happy with your employer you find a new one with teammates you want to work with.

Lebron isn't shy about saying one of his goals is $1 billion lifetime earnings. He will need a lot of help from investments (he has done well to date with those).

As for his current decision, ai have heard he is going to Brazil this weekend for the WC final. He never had a press conference like the high school kids do announcing where he is going to college. So I think he will at some point during the WC final game reach into a duffle bag and pull out a hat from his new, new old or whatever team. Or maybe he will wear different hats at various points in the game and people will go wild online with him playing for the Cavs...no wait, the Heat...now the Bulls...or it looks like he will play baseball for the Yankees next season.... :)

So, let me get this straight... He doesn't need a max contract, but he's demanding one, because he's a team-oriented guy who cares more about putting together a winning team than money?

Perhaps you too should stick to roller coasters.

Mean Streak, hopefully. (Corkscrew would be sorta funny, though.)
