BGW: June 9 - -New Favorite Coaster

Associated parks:
None

Saturday, June 9, I visited the long awaited be me Busch Gardens Williamsburg! I'll tell you now in 3 Symbols what I thought! O_O I was amazed. Some of the greatest thrills I've done in a long time. I'll let you know what I did in order, but only describing it once per ride.

Friday Night

We left about 6:30 and headed for Jamestown Beach Campsites with my Friend. We went with the Boy Scout, eventhough I'm not apart of, I was able to attend. Its was a fun and sleepless night, with only 4 hours to walk around with didn't help much.

Saturday Morning

Well, I woke up at 5:00 since Sleep was hard to achieve with Snoring and Excitement. It was plenty, and I lived off pure adrenine. I waited about 4 hours before we left...PURE TORTURE!

Arrival

We finally arrived and caught a big glance at Apollo's Chariot. It looked awesome! Then we saw the line, LONG! But more on that later! We parked in Italy.

Entry

We finally got it, and my Friend, his dad, and I were first to head to the park, and we charged in and went right for:

Loch Ness Monster

What a way to start off. It was about a 20 Minute wait, which wasn't bad compared to PKD. Plus, it was an awesome ride. Unlike its compared to Coaster, Anaconda, Loch Ness Monster didn't hurt my head one bit, and it was great. It was my friend's first Looping Roller Coaster, and he loved it. It was his Favorite for awhile.

Parts I Liked:

- Interlocking Loops
- Tunnel Helix
- Great Hills
- 2 Lift Hills

Next We Charged For:

Big Bad Wolf

This was one coaster that was not Intense, yet very enjoyable. I loved the flying and all. I really can't explain, It was great.

Parts I Liked:

- Second Drop: High Speeds
- Swinging Out on Turns
- The Whole Thing

Lunch Time

We went out to the Cars to grab our lunches and brought them to the Picnic area to grub on. That refilled Strength.

Big Bad Wolf

Look Above. Except, another person joined us. I was trying to convince the group to go to Alpengeist, but they were scared. I was ready and waiting.

We took forever to find Alpengeist's Line, Hidden SO Well. We needed to check if our New Member was Tall Enough. HE WAS! But line was too long, so we waited.

Loch Ness Monster

Look Above.

Pirates

This was a Funny, Well Done, 4D Movie. It was great. Bird Droppings, Spider, Bees, the whole thing.

Dinner

This was another good time of day. Dinner! We ate at Das Festhaus, in Oktoberfest. It was quite good. German CheeseCake! Yummy! We made it there in time to see the "This is Oktoberfest" show which was quite interesting.

Wild Maus

Since we just ate, we didn't want to ride a huge ride, so Wild Maus settled our stomachs till those Turns! I was laughing the whole ride through. It was the best "Kiddie yet packs a punch" coaster! AWESOME RIDE!

Parts I Liked:

- Sharp Turns
- Squish Ablility
- Fast Drops
- Sharp Turns

Alpengeist!!!

Notice the Exclamation Marks! Before I get into all. Behind us were 2 Confused Girls. One of them as ridden it before, other has not. I asked what the one thought, she said, "OK."

I then asked her, what your favorite ride, they both said, "Loch Ness Monster." They've both ridden Apollo's Chariot too! I was then thinking they were crazy, especially the one who was ridden Alpengeist thought Loch Ness Monster was better! I haven't even ridden it by then, and I knew Alpengeist was gonna be better.

I was blown away again by the girl who hasn't even ridden it said next.

2 Statements:

1. "I already know Loch Ness Monster is gonna be better than this!"

My Reaction: You Dumb!

2. "The idea of a Ski Lift is SO Stupid!"

My Reaction: You Dumb! The seats are perfect for a Ski Lift Runaway Themeing. Maybe it was because she was Blonde? HeHe

The ride was blurry, yet amazing. I was able to tell what we were doing, and it was amazing. It never gave you a chance to catch up, just threw element after element at you. AWESOME SPEED AND INVERSIONS!

Things I loved:

- TOO MUCH TO PICK OUT, ALL OF IT!

Apollo's Chariot

O_O 210 Foot Hill, Feet of Floor Great Coaster! I was a bit scared at first, but I was soon loving the whole thing. Major Air Time, Hills All Over, Loved It!

Things I Loved:

- First Drop
- Speeds
- Air Time
- EVERTHING!

Escape From Pompeii

This was a Typical Big Log Ride. Themeing was awesome, except we rode it at nigh=COLD! I got soaked!

Loch Ness Monster

Walked Right On, Look Above!

All in All, It was a TOTALLY AWESOME DAY! I couldn't have asked for more fun. I arrived 10:30 and left 10:30 since it was special closing and closed at 11:00. I now know why its been called "America's Most Beautiful Park" for 9 years straight.

Hope You've noticed I didn't rate them. THEY WERE ALL 10s! EVEN WILD MAUS!

Hope You Enjoyed!

WAIT! Its Not Over, I gotta let ya know what I rode at Water Country USA!

Aquazoid 2
Nitro Racer 1
Meltdown 2
Lemon Drop 1
Peppermint Twist 1
Jet Scream 2
Rampage 1
Wild Thang 1
Atomic Breakers 6
Mailbu Pipeline 2

I had fun and *OUCH* Major Purple Sunburn!

Unfortunatly, every great weekend has to end, but mine was a Apollo's Chariot Ending. 1st Period at School on Monday. I discovered someone in our class died Saturday night by drowning in the Rappanack River. The Currents were too strong and pulled him under. He'll live in all of at Courtland High School's hearts! One Day there and smiling, next day gone! I realize it has nothing to do with Coasters, but I had to say it. Maybe some people live around that area and heard about it.

Thanks All For Reading This EXTREMELY LONG REPORT. I had a awesome time and still wanna go back!

OoOoOo...Rolley Coaster!
Favorite Coaster: Alpengeist!
Nice TR. IM going myself on 4th of July weekend.

Dayuum, Your HOT!
what was your new favorite coaster
Coaster Rider: you missed it at the end, he said Alpengeist. RCTfan: you sound just like my son (he has a 8/1986 birthday so same age as you). He has that same enthusiasm about all the coasters at BGW (like his dad). And why not? What's not to like about that line-up?
IMO...if you liked Alpie, you need to get seated on Talon at Dorney. Smaller yet more intense, more fun. *** This post was edited by MABrider on 6/12/2001. ***
Hey, the GP always tends to like dumb rides of the great ones. For example, many kids at Knott's think Boomerang is better than Ghostrider. Go figure. Anyway, good report. I can't wait to go there in August!
Yeah, Alpie was my favorite coaster until the freak hybrid coaster/rocket called Hypersonic came along. I can't wait to get back down to BGW and get a few laps in.

Six Flags America? No, no! My name means "Sarcasm-For-All"
Ok so I wasn't the only one who had trouble finding the Alpengeist queue/station.
You go to Courtland? I graduated from there in 1997! I also heard about that person drowning in the river. Its sad. It really is...
hey i was at Busch Gardens June 9th too! I had fun day! But the only ride i didnt like was Big Bad Wolf it wasnt worth waiting in that long line to ride that. I liked Ireland too!

Thanks for repling. I had the best time. Its cool how you went to Courtland High, Number 9!

I have hopes of returning sometime this summer!
