Banshee media day at Kings Island

Darn ... I was looking forward to the "truth" about how you had to be there too early, there were too many people, they catered too much to the actual media, you had to wait too long, the weather wasn't perfect, they didn't open enough extra rides, and they didn't give out enough free food.

Damn evil Cedar Fair!

Wait, you're saying he has to be there to say all that? I was expecting to hear it regardless.

The wife and I are doing the event. Looking forward to it, rain or shine or tighty whitey twister.

Looking forward to this. I don't recall ever having visited a non-Florida park as early in the year as this will be. Should be a thing. Here's hoping Banshee isn't Badshee.

The trick was to surrender to the flow.

Snowing really puts a damper on the whole "wet" part of tighty whitey twister, doesn't it?

I WAS IN THE POOL!!!

My brother and I are in!

It's nice that KI's opening day is Friday and not Saturday....hopefully will keep the crowds down and make for a nice 2 day trip.

CP's opening day last year was a Saturday and absolutely awful...but because it was preceded by an absolutely fabulous OSU day (25 rides on the major coasters and 7 on Gatekeeper alone. Not bad for a 10 hour day with a 90 storm rain shutdown on all the coasters)...we rode a few flats, a few coasters, and headed home happy at 4pm.

EEEK...maybe I better not go. If any of you found out who I was, I would probably be handcuffed to the front gate in my underwear, so you can all throw eggs, and insults. Throw eggs at Timber-Rider $5.00, and if you miss you can get a buy one get one free shot for $3.00!!

Though my carnie sense would just kick in and, and I'd be saying..Come on! you throw like a little girl! You couldn't hit the Empire state building with 20 foot wide ball!! My grandpa throws better than you! And, he's been dead since 1974!! I like my eggs scrambled...not tossed!!

But, what you might not guess, I tied myself to the gate, and I get all the money you spent throwing eggs at me. Pay for the whole trip with your bitter cash. Ca Ching!!

Of course you all know, I'm only kidding. I love coasterbuzz. I just have a funny way of showing it. Like TMZ. LOL!!

Can we throw rocks instead? I'd pay $5 for that.

Only if the rocks are made of candy. You get what you pay for.

I'll be the guy who doesn't give a ****. Be sure to try and find me.

Put me down for a dozen. I'm just kidding. Good thing, my fastball clocked in at 87 mph last year, with decent accuracy. At least you can make fun of yourself, even if it isn't funny.

Seriously though, I would love to be there for media day. With an upcoming surgery and a lack of interest from friends and family, I doubt that I will be able unless I do it alone. We already planned a trip for May, 4th. If only I knew there would be more rides open than Banshee, It would spark more interest.

That would be a perfectly good waste of rock candy.

Rock candy is for eating, not throwing. Also, it's disgusting, and nothing but solid sugar without flavoring (to me, anyway).

I'd like to think that those of us who have never met in person might get along, even if we don't here on CoasterBuzz. People are different online than in real life. I wouldn't mind meeting you, Timber-Rider. I don't really like to hang out with anyone for too long, because I am an introverted loner type, but meeting anyone that I regularly converse with here for a little while would be cool.

And I wouldn't throw eggs or rocks at you either.

Gonch is just as much a dick in real life as he is online. That's why I respect him. That, and his wife put me up for free in a hotel once. Oh, and I'm kinda the same in person, too, so there's no point in being dishonest.

Yeah, I've never gotten then whole 'different online than off'. The people that I've met that are different online than they are offline aren't people I tend to want to be around.
