Thought I would write something about my homeparks' new coaster for 2003 as I don't think it has been posted here before.
The name Vilda Musen (swedish for The Wild Mouse) may not be very original but the layout and location of the coaster is something special. Like Indiana Beach in the states this park doesn't have so much space left so they're begining to build over other rides. The coaster will feature some near hits with the supports, track and bigger trains on the Schwarzkopf coaster, an S&S Combo Ride and a Mondial TopScan ride called Extreme. The station will be themed with an imaginary castle inspired by a Spanish arcitect, Gaudi (sp?). Not sure how they'll design the cars but they will be custom designed as well.
Some stats for those who is interested: height 21m, length 430, speed 55kph, 6 cars, 800pph, costs about 3 million dollars and is designed by Werner Stengel and Wendelin Stückl (anyone who know who that guy is?) and built by Gerstlauer.
A few CAD images and information can be found at Gröna Lunds homesite: http://www.gronalund.com/musen.asp and Gerstlauer's homesite: http://www.gerstlauer-rides.de/aktuell.htm
So for those who worries that Cedar Point or any other major parks are begining to run out of space, that's not really a problem.

Train: www.sj.se and flight www.sas.se to get to Stockholm. The train tickets are about to get higher but I think it's pretty reasonble.
To reach Gröna Lund itself isn't very hard since it's in Stockholm. You can go to Grönan by either trams, busses or by a ferry.
