Son of Beast not likely to reopen this year

The Son of Beast most likely won't be rolling again until next season - unless you happen to be a "water dummy." The giant wooden roller coaster has been closed since an accident in July sent 27 people to the hospital. Last week, the park finished rebuilding a damaged part of the coaster, including replacing a cracked beam and other vertical wooden planks, said Maureen Kaiser, park spokeswoman.
