Six Flags Over Texas awards ride-a-thon winners

There were just 10 weary roller coaster riders who completed 45 hours on the Judge Roy Scream -- 555 laps, covering 260.68 miles, essentially driving from Arlington to Houston -- on Friday. The ride-a-thon, co-sponsored by radio station KFWR/95.9 "The Ranch," was part of the Six Flags Over Texas' 45th anniversary celebration. The park opened Aug. 5, 1961.
