New Orleans goes another summer without a water park

With its sticky hot summers that begin long before Memorial Day and frequently spill into October, New Orleans should be a dream location for a water park. But after the demise of two water park proposals in Jefferson Parish, and despite promises of water rides at the Six Flags theme park in eastern New Orleans, the local area is wilting through another steamy summer with no water park construction in sight.
