Stand-off continues in bid for Vivendi Universal entertainment unit

Oil magnate Marvin Davis learned Thursday that he isn't holding the cards in his high-stakes bid to win control of Vivendi Universal's entertainment properties, after Vivendi's chief said he wouldn't give the billionaire exclusive negotiating rights to buy the properties. Davis threatened to withdraw his bid if his demands were not met.
