Green Bay council votes to purchase Zippin Pippin roller coaster from Memphis for $3 million

Members of the Green Bay City Council voted to purchase the Zippin Pippin from Memphis and relocate it to Bay Beach Amusement Park. The decision came on a 7-4 vote and followed more than an hour of debate about whether the $3 million project had been studied adequately or was appropriate in tough economic times.
