Legislators rally behind Las Vegas and Orlando for alleged ban on travel

A fire storm has begun with recent revelations that the FBI and other government entities discourage meetings in resort destinations. Members of Congress said in a letter to the U.S. Government Accountability Office that this policy is not about saving money but about saving face. Legislative bills presented in both the House and Senate this week would add language restricting any federal agency from discouraging meetings or conventions in a resort destination.
