Expoland closes permanently due to lack of financial backing

The theme park Expoland, site of a roller coaster derailment that killed one person and injured 12 in 2007, is shutting its gates for good. Expoland's management had been trying to secure financial backing from another company to reopen the park, located in Suita, Osaka Prefecture. However, no partner could be found.
