Sally Corp. lays off 16 in downturn

Sally Corp., a 31-year-old Jacksonville company specializing in amusement park rides and animatronic robotics, laid off nearly half of its workforce last week as it adjusts to the drop in its project load brought on by the economic downturn, company chairman and CEO John Wood said Monday. Wood said Sally had to lay off 16 of its 41 employees from all departments.
