A little over a week ago, Hersheypark Outfitters was filled with toys, merchandise and tourists squeezing in a final weekend at the Derry Township amusement park. Four days after Spring Creek crested in the heart of Hershey, all the remains of the store are bare studs and the sounds of hammers as work crews tear apart Lee’s leftovers. It won’t be until Wednesday or Thursday before the park’s staff will know whether or not the amusement park will re-open this weekend.
