Giraffe born at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom

Named for San Francisco Giants rookie outfielder Brandon "Baby Giraffe" Belt, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom's new male giraffe calf, "Brandon," is here, a park spokeswoman announced Tuesday. It's the second successful birth for 7-year-old reticulated giraffe mother Makali, the first being in 2009.
