Kings Island Evening ERT for Passholders

Nicole Wood's avatar

Does anyone know about what time of the year this will be announced? I see that Cedar Point has already announced their evening dates, but I haven't found anything for KI yet, only their morning ride time offers. We like to try to plan our trip around evening ERT nights. If anyone can recall about when it was posted in the past, that would be helpful. Thanks!

I may be wrong, but I don't think Kings Island does that.

Why not contact the park directly, rather than relying on the memories of anonymous Internet posters?

Ha, I knew someone would post that. I have actually reached out using the contact us form, with no response yet. I figured maybe someone else has waited for the same information in years past to schedule a trip, so they would know around when that info came out. And they definitely do have (or had) evening ert as I attended one of the nights last year.
But thanks for all your help.

Kings Island - Season Pass Benefits shows "early ride times" but no "ride nights" like Cedar Point. So, I'm guessing no.

I don't know about this year, but last year they had a Gold Passholder ERT on Friday, August 7.

Beast and Diamondback ERT from 10:30 PM to 12AM.

The Beast line was 30-40 minutes long at 10:30, and just after 11 both Beast and Diamondback were 1-2 train waits.

Beast ERT at midnight = bliss!

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

The larger question here, (and maybe he's here to tell us), is why does our Shawn Meyer vote up every single post he reads no matter what?

We attended that last year and it was a blast! We saved our first ride on The Beast until that night because we heard it was best in the dark. We only get there once a year, so I wanted to go on a night like that again if possible, but I didn't realize they only did it for one night last year. Hopefully they have something like that again this year.

There were several after regular park close ERT sessions in 2015, one in mid-May with Banshee, the one in August mentioned in the post above, and one the last day of the season on November 1.

The first two ride nights were only announced a couple of weeks in advance, so you may want to check just before you visit and see if there's anything happening those days.

Beast + night + ERT always equals bliss.

I think it's just easier for Cedar Point to do it because most of their employees live on site, and at KI some probably live about 30 minutes or more away. At least that's my theory.

Ironically, your post did not get a Shawn Meyer +1.

Well, I never had an employer that cared how long my commute home was, I doubt that is the reason at KI.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks, than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

RCMAC, I have A.D.D. That's one reason, and the other reason is because I read everyone's opinions and most of the time I feel like everyone has valid points. Also the reason I didn't upvote earlier was because I was at work and then school in the evening.

Awesome, thanks for the info! Looks like I'm going to hold off on the planning for a little while, just want to be sure we can all get the time off work in advance. The Beast ERT was definitely worth planning our annual trip around.

And fyi, here's the response I finally received from KI today: Thank you for contacting us. There will be specials posted on our website throughout the year. You also have the option of receiving our e-mails. This can be found at www.visitkingsisland.com under things to do.

Do CF Platinum passes qualify for these events, or are these specifically for each parks gold pass holders only?

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.

It has been my prior experience that my Platinum Pass has been universally accepted across the CF family for events and perks.

I've had the same experience. Last year it was for gold and platinum pass holders at KI.

Thanks Nicole and James.
