Details are forthcoming, but Coasting For Kids will be on Sunday, June 7, 2015. We're looking forward to another a great year, and I hope you'll join us in raising money for Give Kids The World!

Will there be water?

In bottles only, hopefully.

That was a crazy weekend. I'm glad we got out off the peninsula before all hell broke loose.

You will, Mike. This year HAS to be better. I'm counting on you being there! :)

You'll find a way, Mike. And I hope to see you at Great Adventure on Easter Sunday!

I haven't participated the last few years, but I'm ready to do it again this year. Now that I am living back in PA again, I'm trying to decide where to do it. So many options.

Glad to have you at Dorney, Travis.

Travis, I'd love to see you at Dorney as well. Hydra's not super re-rideable (Mike has some choice words for it that I'm not allowed to type here), but Talon is such a great invert, and I could sit on Steel Force all day. Not a bad group of coasters to marathon (some of the CF parks have pretty bad selections for a coaster marathon, I think). Plus, our whole group is a tad nuts. I don't know if I'd do it every year, wonderful charity or not, if it wasn't for the people I've participated with.

Mike, no Golden Corral this year for me for sure...that particular location has declined to sketchy at best, borderline skeezy. I think they might be going under for health code violations. Just a heads up.

In any case, I cannot WAIT. This event is awesome, it makes me feel amazing and proud of what us coaster tools can accomplish, and it is a high point of my season before my season gets really started.

Hopefully no stupid 2-ride rule though. Blech.

That 2-ride rule about saved my life on Hydra, although I do enjoy that ride.

I think they should just stick with Talon for the entire day. ;)

I do very much like Talon and Steel Force. Dorney Park is the closest Cedar Fair park to me now. I am definitely a tad nuts.

I'm leaning towards Dorney. lol

Hm... Has the meaning of "tad" changed?

The last time I was at a Golden Corral there was a shrimp floating in the Chocolate Wonderfall.

RCMAC, apparently they've graduated to undercooked chicken, arguing with patrons, and physically shoving patrons. Oh, and trying to take away bad food before people can take pictures of it.

We caught the lady cutting chicken then cutting vegetables on the same cutting board. The chicken was cooked (we hope), but the vegetables were raw for the salad bar. OH no. My partner was straight to the manager, he's never moved so fast.

The worlds best and largest Golden Corral lives in Branson. And not so much for better food, but because they have a showroom. Seriously. One hit wonder (but "Branson Famous") Barbara Fairchild entertains bus loads of fat white people while they enjoy unlimited grazing. There's a big neon sign over the showroom door that says "We're Open! Y'all C'mon In!" (or something like that) when the show is going on. I guess if this is happening anywhere Branson should be the place, but I saw all that and about died laughing.

Note: to be fair, I did not see Barbara's show. I understand it's ok, and she's an extremely nice lady. And she's still working, so there's that. The only reason I happen to know this anyway is that I'm a fat white person who enjoys unlimited grazing. But I drove myself there.

Proof I'm not making this up.

Can we just stick to discussion related to raising money for GKTW? Thanks. :)

Hm... In checking the topic title I guess you're right!
Sorry for the hijack, I couldn't resist.

And now, back to GKTW.

I will be happy to help in any way I can, as usual. I'm not sure I'd be able to take time to ride if there were an event in Texas, but there isn't so I've never had to make that call.
