Amusement park speech

Can anyone help me with a topic for my final speech for school. I want to do one on amusement parks but I don't know what spin to put on it. It is my final project before I graduate so I want to do a really good job. I want to do an informative speech so any information I have I need to have sources for it. Thanks to anyone who can help me!

How about this: Do a report on how the amusement parks tend to survive quite well during recessions and the Great Depression. Euclid Beach is a good example of parks that did very well during that.

Or...a big one would be amusement park safety.

Both are good topics but where can I find information on those topics?

You might try rcdb.com. I'm sure that site would have information and links enough to get all the info you would need. (Just remember....ALWAYS give credit to your sources)

There are a lot of Amusement park information online, its not that hard to find. Your best beat would be using a search engine and looking stuff up there. Also, if you have some encyclopedia's they work okay.

I'd do the speech on the technology of coasters. You can talk about their history, whats out today, and what's to come from these crazy designers. I bet if you showed pics of a 4d, a flyer, Sob, MF etc. the class would be in awe.

You can get a copy of Cedar Fairs annual report, and there is a lot of info on Euclid Beach in the two books that were released, unfortunatly, they are out of print, but Im sure you can get them still on-line.
