Alleged shooter caught after injuring two at Fun Spot in Orlando

A 21-year-old man remains behind bars today after he was accused of opening fire at Fun Spot America near International Drive on Saturday. Jamal Dion Lafortune injured two people — an adult male who was shot in the shoulder and a teenager who was shot in the foot, said Keith Maddox, assistant fire chief.

This is a shame.
Fun Spot is one of those places where you can just stroll right in without an admission charge. Rides or wristbands are available if you want them.
While this is probably being looked at as an isolated incident, it would be awful if they resorted to gated admission, metal detectors, and all that. It would go against Fun Spot's goal of being a fun, affordable entertainment center that anyone can enjoy.

Agreed. With their crazy black Friday pass deal (~$75), we were crazy not to get passes. My kid loves it because he can ride Freedom Flyer and marathon the Sea Serpent.

Agreed. On their FB page, someone opined that FS might react swiftly, perhaps overreact. Fun Spot's management said they were going to wait for all the facts, and would not jump to any rash decisions. I applaud them for that...
