When construction crews for the Wildebeest water coaster hoist a huge piece of rounded fiberglass four stories in the air to “top the lifthill” in a few weeks, a crew from the National Geographic Channel will be on hand to capture the moment.Wildebeest construction at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari.

“We just got word that Wildebeest construction will be the focus of a one-hour episode of the show World’s Toughest Fixes,” says Holiday World’s president, Will Koch. “We’ve been talking to their producers for two months and it’s tremendously exciting to get the thumbs up.”

Paula just tweeted and it sounds like it will be going on during IAAPA. She said it will be keeping her from going to Vegas this year.

My new job keeps me from going this year, so it wouldn't be as fun anyway without me there.

Wouldn't Son of Beast make a better subject for "World's Toughest Fixes"?

Zing, beast7369!

So, what about Wildebeest will, or has made it particularly difficult to umm...fix? Has the ride even been built yet? Will the show's producers just make something up to make designing and building the ride sound like a dramatically difficult project? Is it expected to be dramatically difficult?

Way to go HW! Exposure from shows like this could really help your attendance improve even more!

I love Natural Geographic!!

Noted and will be added to DVR along with cedar point special in the spring.

I love HW, and I haven't even been there yet. Hopefully this year.

Actually, fixing SOB would be easy. Just turn it over to the Mythbusters. They debunk the myth that "SoB can be fixed!"
