Wild West World owners say economy is reason for inaction

The economy slowed its progress. Now the owner of Wild West World says it plans to capitalize on the economic trends and develop a multi-million dollar commercial and entertainment district to attract locals and millions of others who drive by. Aside from the weeds growing taller, not much has changed at Wild West World in the past two years. Behind closed doors the owners say they've been busy developing the state's next hot spot.

It did. Under the original owner/builders it opened on May 5, 2007 and closed July 8, 2007.

Yeah, but I could have sworn it reopened this spring around the time Freestyle did. Must have been mixed up.

I don't know, it seems that everyone can just used the "economy sucks" excuse. If they were really intent on doing this, and it was a solid business venture it would have been done. Then not only would they have the stimuli of shopping and spending, but also jobs added to an area that I am sure can use them. Please stop cover yourself with a sheet called "bad economy" and admit that the real reason is that this is an area that will not support this type of business venture.
