Sounds to me like this is the state's version of the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" Policy. If we don't ask, the parks won't tell I guess.

How can you mandate something that isn't being enforced the same way day in and day out?

The Poltergeist thing doesn't sound like the park's fault at all. Flight of Fear doesn't have netting under the station track either, because the equipment for the LIMs is in the way.

I'm not quite sure how you'd fall through that gap either, you'd have to first fall through the small gap between cars, and then through the track itself.

Even if all the accidents were reported, most papers would bump stories about broken ankles on waterslides in favor of stories about who Jennifer Aniston is running around with this week, or the latest twist in the Jon and Kate circus. Personally, I don't check into any state's department of insurance website all that often to see what's happenin'.
