RCT2 Question

Ok so I was playing the other day and I wanted to know if you advertise for a roller coaster while your building it, would that be a beneficial thing or not? Im not sure if rct2 is that advanced, because I usually advertise for the roller coaster after I have built it. Anyone have any insight?

Re: RCT2 Question

As far as I can tell, advertising for anything brings people into the park. I don't think it matters.

Re: RCT2 Question

What about on RCT3 (soaked), because I was reading the manuel(Im that sad) and I believe there was an interview with some guy from Hershey park and I believe he mentioned that you should advertise for roller coaster being built, or something along the lines of that.

Re: RCT2 Question

I don't advertise till a coaster is open, otherwise people will come for the ride ("Heading for Rollercoaster 1") then go there and find it's closed. People lose happiness, linger around, area gets crowded, more anger, vandalism, etc. Bad chain reaction IMHO.

Re: RCT2 Question

Yeah you can advertise for anything, even a coaster being built. If its being constructed the people will just wait till the ride is open.

Re: RCT2 Question

What would be the point of wasting your marketing dollars early? Since the guest's aren't intelligent, they won't "wait" or "remember" the coaster if you market it while you're building it, unless, per se, you're doing T/A on it right before opening.

Re: RCT2 Question

When they enter the park, they have a coupon for what ever was advertise. If its a ride that is still being built then they just wait till its open.
