The Santa Ana winds finally died down so I was able to go to Knott's today after postponing it every day since last thursday. It was exactly what happens every time I go there on a school day with no special event. The place was a ghost town, pun intended. Just what I like at any park. I was only there from 12pm-5pm and I got on 41 total rides, including re-rides. Tied for the 2nd most rides I have ever got on in one day. In 2005 I got on 47 at Knott's and last March I got on 41 at SFMM.

Perilous Plunge was closed and also completely drained. Timber Mountain Log Ride and the Waveswinger were also closed. I knew TMLR would be closed since it is posted on their website and I never ride PP anyway since I don't like to walk around wet so that was no big deal. Even though I didn't get there until 12:00 I was still able to park in the main lot. It was the first time I have ever got there later than 10:30 without having to park in the lot across Beach Blvd. or the one on Crescent Ave. Definitely a sign that almost nobody was there. On my way to the entrance I saw the Ghostrider train go by with 3 people on it so I knew I was going to have the place to myself.

Here is what I did in order: Every ride was walk on and about half of the time I didn't even have to leave my seat.

Ghostrider: rode twice, front row both times.

Pony Express: rode twice

Boomerang: twice, front row on first ride

Xcelerator: twice

Supreme Scream: twice

La Revolucion: twice

Jaguar: twice

Montezooma's Revenge: twice

Silver Bullet: twice, front row on first ride

Sierra Sidewinder: twice

Ghostrider: twice

Pony Express: twice

Boomerang: twice

Xcelerator: twice, front both times

Supreme Scream: twice

La Revolucion: once

That makes the day when you can move quickly through the park. I hope I do just as good at Disneyland/DCA this weekend.

Last year my brother and his family came down to WDW on MLK weekend and we got hit pretty hard with crowds. Have to wonder if DL/DCA get an attendance jump on the Holiday weekend (hope not for your sake, AJ). The good part was that we were staying on-site, so the Extra Magic Hours was a big hit...where the "adults" were able to get in some extra BTMRR and Space Mountain on a couple nights, and extra Everest on one other night..

Good luck Agent Johnson, but I wouldn't hold my breath expecting short lines at a Disney park on a holiday weekend. I hope I am wrong for your sake. In Feb, 06, I went to Disneyland on the 1st Tuesday of the month and the place was packed. I knew it would not be empty, since Disneyland never is, but a 3 hour line for Space Mountain on a school day in the winter is ridiculous. But I hardly ever go there so maybe it was just a fluke. My cousin who has worked at Disneyland for about 10 years teases me for supporting the competition too much.
