Getting Rid of The Dreaded Pump

I have recently got somewhat better at making tracks in NL. It suddenly starts to fall into place, of course with the help of some CB members. However, I am still having a problem getting rid of the dreadful "pump". I try all the views and am having such a hard time getting rid of this odd happening. Anyone have some suggestions?? I get it nearly gone but there's always something just a little off. It happens more so when the track is coming out of a bank in addition with a drop or incline.

Thanks

Make sure you have the heartline displayed. If there are any kinks in the heartline, you will get jolts despite how great the track looks.

Re: Getting Rid of The Dreaded Pump

I have done that but I am wondering how you go about smoothing that small kink out. Do you play with banking or is it a combo of it all? I'm having a real hard time getting this inverted track I have made smoothed. This seems to be the hardest part of it all now. I have gotten the banking part down and have been keeping my g's within normal limits. Does the smooth function ever get these out? I have tried it but maybe hit smooth before messing with it?? Not sure what to do.

Re: Getting Rid of The Dreaded Pump

I've never used the "smooth" feature. I just tweak things myself until I am satisfied with it.
